GUEST DESIGNING AT

below is my rustic layout showcasing the divine chippies .

JOURNEY – Destination Unknown
My beautiful  and talented  friend Linda Eggleton very kindly gave me permission
to use this magnificent photo she took of an old Rustic Railway line.
Thanks so much Linda , lucky, lucky me .
I knew immediately which chippies I would use
and I feel this Kaiser Base Coat Collection
is a perfect marriage with Linda's divine pic.
I decided to go with the Rustic feel throughout the layout ,
using ink and texture paste to grunge/rust up my metal elements and chipboard.

The chipboard
I love to cut the chipboard into sections.
This achieves two things :
the chipboard goes further
and also makes it unique to you/ the artist .
Cut The Corner Elegant set  into 4 pieces
Securing  it around the edge of the matted photo,  layering in clusters  with other elements.
Ink with Tim Holtz rusty Hinge distress ink, applied with a sponge
When dry add random soft dabs of black to create an aged look and feel .
The fencing wire panel  is treated with the same technique .

The metal Key and Filigree
Brush with texture paste .
Allow to dry
Dab on Rusty Hinge ink with a sponge
Add tiny dabs of black versa color ink  to the edges.
Layer these elements creating dimension and texture.

When the layout was complete I brushed the chipboard and metal elements
with two very  thin coats of satin clear finish /JoSonya  .

2Crafty items used
Fencing Wire Panel (units of 3)
[m00401]
Corner Elegant Set (unit of 3)
[cr0039]

Thanks for popping by and I hope I have inspired you to have a play
with these divine pieces of chipboard .

'CELEBRATE '

This layout is laden with the beautiful 2Crafty chipboard
the Henri frame is overlaid on the photo.

I sliced the  Parisian border in secitions and  layered it between the metal filligree and the die cut
leaving a small piece to feature on the top of the photo .
The chipboard is all treated in the same way --
lightly gessoed first,
then dabbed with Rose /Versa color ink

MAIN INGREDIENT
all three colors
UTENSILS
whipped cream (whitewashed with gesso) ,
flowers, butterflies, nesting material ( torn and distressed edges)
JOURNALING

my commission / create a layout for the 'Colour Team'

The bold black background makes a statement against the rich browns and mustard/orange hues .

GUEST DESIGNER AT 13ARTS

HERE is what Ayeeda had to say .. bless you Ayeeda x

Hi, today I have a great pleasure to show you another stunning project from Heather.
I am extremely happy she agreed to be here again.
She made absolutely breathtaking page with Frosted Life papers in March,
today she will show us another project with these papers and she''l tell us a little about her creating process. I just looooove it!

'ICE-CREAM'

MY PROCESS
the color combo for this layout is pink/white/and black
These papers designed by Ayeeda are just heavenly to work with.
They are the absolute perfect weight for using gesso .
I began by spreading gesso over the entire page, wiping the excess off and randomly added light pink ink, and stamped each corner.
I created the foundation for the photo by using some recycled sheet music paper, then built up layers of Ayeeda’s papers and cardstock, and finally adding the photo.
The foliage is a Cottage cutz /leafy foliage die cut (which I adore) and these papers are a perfect marriage with any diecut .
I think they look divine as leafy foliage surrounding the large Green Tara flower.
I used washi tape down each side to add contrast.
Of course my trademark stitching is there on each side, because I cant seem to do a layout without stitching ... LOL !!
The gorgeous photo was taken by my daughter
Tara Hadley of SIMPLY PHOTOGRAPHIC .
